I received this book “Work Life Balance for Dummies” and want to share it with you.
Those of you who have not read “’as a man thinketh’’, should read it – it is 22 pages and not rocket science but contain so much info, which could affect your life for the better. My favourite quote is ‘your circumstances do not define you, it brings out who you really are.’’
Another train of thought to ponder is how he describes those who dwell on ‘’criminal – type’’ thinking will see the opportunity when it arises, while those thinking thoughts for instance about business development, will see that opportunity when it arises. In observing many individuals, working with staff and applicants, I noted the same thinking pattern governs our self –esteem. I think I am absolutely gorgeous and very clever and that is how I roll. Bordering on arrogance. A number of my friends and previous co-workers and staff members had repeated experiences where they were belittled, told they are stupid, will never amount to much, fat, thin, ugly, etc. Those so unfortunate only hears the references to those concepts and immediately owns it and makes it her/his own. They know that song. It rings a bell and they respond. A healthy self-esteem glances over it, and only hears the compliments. You hear what you want to in relation to what you are thinking about.
Now read As a Man Thinketh!!
